Handwriting of Typographers

A Nice Refresher

I looked back at some of my resources and references in my sketchbook, and it was nice to stumble upon this poster. I remember finding it when HOW first posted it, and it reassured me that I could build my career on passion in creativity. I hope this poster motivates and encourages all young designers. It definitely supported me as I started my design career.

The Insprining Mosaic in New York

Lets never forget great inspiration. Louise Fili Ltd. created the latest promotional poster design for School of Visual Arts New York. The poster has moved from the underground to three stories tall on the corner of Third Ave and 23rd Street.
Take a look as it points you to SVA and Louise Fili’s studio.

AIGA: Looking Good

Have you taken a look at the new AIGA website yet? Great new look AIGA!

Yesterday I hopped on the metro down to Long Beach and attended the PRINTEGR8 presentation made possible by Westamerica Graphics. What a great fast-paced schedule that informed and presented information to the point on the value of print today and increasing your ROI (Return on Investment).
What I took away:
1. Grow your business via social media and go mobile.
2. Print will not disintegrate.
Watch Go paper. Grow trees. | How using paper can actually lead to more trees.. And learn more about go paper, grow trees here.

Do you take interest to your direct mail advertising? What about if it is well designed and uses a nicely textured paper. I know great print design on nicely textured paper speaks to me the same amount as do the well-designed email newsletter advertisements.
