The Restoration of Helvetica

Christian Schwartz, an inspiring type designer and partner in the type foundry Commercial Type, has restored Helvetica referring to the notes of developers Eduard Hoffmann and Max Miedinger from 1957. Steven Heller produces a great article, The Real Helvetica: A Designer Restores the Original Font on Christian Schwartz’s new face, Neue Haas Grotesk, which will be released June 7 by Monotype Imaging.
