John Van Hamersveld: PDC Design Series LecturePosted: April 7, 2011
Yesterday, I headed off to MOCA’s Pacific Design Center to hear John Van Hamersveld discuss the influence of graphic design on today’s culture, and vice versa. It was quite interesting to see how his design evolved over the course of many years in the field and how today in most designs we make what was old new. If you don’t know John Van Hamersveld, he is ever so famous for his poster created for the surfer movie Endless Summer and his illustration Johnny Face which inspired Shepard Fairey’s OBEY. Take a look at John’s work here.
